FluidBoy Tools is an iPhone utility for laboratory and robotics technicians who maintain NGC pipette channels. It flashes channel firmware through the NGC-Bridge, a small ESP32-based dongle that plugs into the channel over USB and talks to the phone over Bluetooth LE.
For questions, bug reports, or help getting connected, email kklix101@gmail.com — include your app version (shown in the app under ⓘ → About) and a short description of what happened.
The app says “Scanning” and never connects.
Make sure the NGC-Bridge is powered (its display is on), Bluetooth is enabled on your
iPhone, and the bridge isn’t already linked to another phone. The app connects to a
device advertising as NGC-Bridge.
The Flash button is disabled.
Flashing needs both a connected bridge and a selected firmware file. Pick a
Channel2Runtime .hex file (or a bootloader folder) with the Choose button first.
Does the app work without the hardware? No — it is a companion app for the NGC-Bridge dongle. Without it you can browse the interface, read the legal documents, and customize the theme, but all channel features need the bridge.
What data does the app collect? None. See the Privacy Policy. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no network access — the app only talks to your bridge over Bluetooth LE.
FluidBoy Tools is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Hamilton Company.
